Are you interested in looking ahead to the issues that will help shape the landscape for older Americans in the next decade? Then put Wednesday, May 13 on your calendar. SEMAAA and Minnesota Board on Aging will host the event at the Kahler Apache (former Ramada Inn) from 1 –3 pm, Ballroom B.
Common themes aging leaders are hearing include the following: retirement security, healthy aging, long-term services and supports, and elder justice. Facilitators will get the conversations going and pass ideas on to the state. The White house Conference on Aging will build on broad public engagement in the lead-up to the national conference in Washington DC later this year. Results of the local events will be published on the White House Conference on Aging website (www.whitehouseconferenceonaging.gov )
Seniors and caregivers are encouraged to attend. RSVP would be appreciated by calling 507-288-6944.
